FAQ.
What are your services?
Website design covers complete sites ecommerce or gallery/information sites as well as template design and makeovers on existing sites.
Search Engine Optimization - I can optimize your existing pages or add SEO to a new website being built. Please read all the SEO information before submitting the form to get your free website report analysis.
Website Maintenance covers updating your content and products, adding new pages, setting up a blog, increasing backlinks, validating your site, making it html compliant, optimizing your code and images for a faster download time and anything else you need help with!
What is your experience?

Do you have references?
References can be seen on the testimonial page, it may also be possible to put you in contact with past clients regarding there experience with Emele website services if required.
What are your rates?
Search engine optimization costs $47.00 per page with a discount for 3 or more pages.
Website maintenance such as making new pages, sorting content, and getting the pages to validate cost between $5.00-$10.00 per hour.
Website design, templates and makeovers are charged per site based on your individual needs. Basic websites start at $150.00.
Why don't you have fixed rates for website design and maintenance?
Since each website is unique and totally different from the next a fixed rate system cannot be achieved. It's much better for you if you can receive your own individual project quote based entirely on your unique, individual needs and ideas.
How do I pay?
Payment is taken through moneybookers, or you can send a check directly to me made out in Dollars, Pounds or Euros.

Is there a deposit or payment upfront requirement?
Yes.
For SEO payment is required upfront, for reoccurring work half upfront and half on completion.
For website design and other work a deposit of 50% is required upfront with the remaining to be paid on the day your site is uploaded and live to the public.
The reason for this is individuals in the past not completing there websites for various reasons leaving me with half designed / half finished websites and no payment for my time spent making the sites!
Do you offer guarantees?
Please see the SEO information page for guarantees on search engine optimization.
For website design you will see previews of the layout and design, at any time you can say if something is not quite how you wanted it.
After your website is live you will have two weeks to go through the site to make sure there are not any errors such as broken links, grammatical errors etc, if there are you will need to contact me and I will fix them.
The same for website maintenance, any errors found within two weeks will be fixed free of charge.
This gives you time to go through the site yourself and also to have had customers visiting you so that any problems should show themselves during the first two weeks.
What if I don’t like my services?
Many emails will pass between us (or via live chat) so that you do like everything and are happy with the work carried out!
For website design you will receive previews of the design, layout ideas etc, at any time you can say when you are not happy and would like something a little different or that you imagined the site being a certain way.
For SEO it is more a matter of trust, I will give you explanations of why certain things have to be that way for the search engines if you ask me.
Before any work begins or payment is made I will provide you with a detailed proposal, outlining what will happen, a plan of action. You can ask any questions or raise your concerns at any time.
For SEO the proposal is normally covered in your free SEO optimization form report .
How will you provide progress reports to me?
If there is one thing I do it is to keep in touch too much!
Emails making sure I know what you want, suggesting and showing you different option and ideas, making sure you are happy with everything, progress reports on what I am doing, screenshots and previews to make sure you are still happy!
Depending on what work I am doing for you I will usually email you with updates 1-3times a week.
I find it’s better to stay in touch too much than not enough, especially in the online world.
Where do I start?
For SEO read through the information in the SEO section on the navigation, if you have read all of that fill in the SEO optimization form for your free report.
For website design, read through the websites for the small business information page. Take notes and copy the URLs on what sites you like and dislike as well as your own ideas, needs and visions then contact me where we can discuss ideas and I can quote you.
For website maintenance and anything else, please contact me stating your needs!
How long does it take?
This depends on what work I am undertaking at the time.
I will only work on one website design / make over at a time as it requires so much communication and work.
You will be placed on the waiting list and given an estimate of when your website design can begin. While you are waiting you can research ideas, write content, sort out images etc so that when your site is next you will have everything ready.
I will also run over your general ideas and offer suggestions so we both know what we are aiming for before work begins.
For SEO if nothing else is needed such as html validation / code cleanup, content etc it can take as little as 1-2weeks before your page is ready for uploading.
Remember this is not the time it takes to start seeing results though!
The target time given to you excludes weekends and Greek holidays.
All targets are estimates only, building websites specifically cover detailed processes, first the design, then the code, inputting content and images, checking everything etc. If halfway through building I think the target needs to be put forward I will tell you straight away.
If you have a deadline for the work you need doing you must state this in the first email.
Do you provide blog hosting and website hosting? What about domain registration services?
No Emele website services does not provide any hosting.
You will need to buy your domain name, hosting and set it up. Usually the domain/hosting support can give you step by step instructions on how to do this.
I can of course offer advice on who to use and provide help with setup if needed.
You designed my website for me and also did SEO, I changed some things and now it doesn’t work – Will you fix it?
For all services if a different company “touches” the design or code and it breaks then I will not fix it, that is the other company's responsibility.
If you yourself were playing around with your site and it all went wrong I will fix it at my hourly rate.
Of course there is nothing wrong with you making changes and adjustments after I have built your site and you are learning and wanting to maintain the site yourself but please, always make a backup first! That way if something goes wrong you just revert back to the original and problem solved!
Who owns my website?
After all bills have been paid you do.
Do I have to make changes to my website after is it completed?
No, not if you don’t want to. I will upload the site for you so that it is live and fully functioning!
Can I maintain my website myself?
Yes – All files, folders, images etc will be uploaded to the server of your host.
You can login and download all of those files to your computer enabling you to maintain your site in something like Microsoft Frontpage or Macromedia Dreamweaver which I recommend.
You will also need an FTP client, there are some free ones available or sometimes you can login to your hosting account or cpanel to upload and download the files.
