What is Moneybookers?
Money via email! Deposit/withdraw funds via credit/debit card or bank transfer. Use your account to send/receive money to/from anyone with an email address.
Open an account at moneybookers.com, it's free and the only requirement for a personal account to be opened is an email address, no credit card needed to open an account!
Your needs to register an account at moneybookers
and fund the account it by choosing an 'upload option' (bank wire transfer or
credit card deposit). In order to fund your moneybookers account via bank
transfer you just need to instruct a bank wire transfer from
a bank account which you hold to the moneybookers bank account as provided in the
'upload funds"---> bank transfer section.
To pay via credit card add your credit/debit card to your accont profile. Go to - 'My Account' > 'Profile' > 'List of credit/debit cards' > 'Manage' > 'Add' > fill in the required information.
On the same page you will be asked to complete the verification procedure. Moneybookers will debit your credit/debit card for a small random amount (usually between EUR 1.01 and 2.99 depending on your account currency) after which you must check your card statement for the exact transaction amount and enter it into the 'verify credit/debit card' section of your Moneybookers profile.
Upon completion, the transaction amount will be credited to your Moneybookers account and your card will be verified with the upload limit shown on screen.
Please note that you may have to wait some time for the debit to appear on your statement so it is best to start the upload funds procedure to your account as soon as possible after you have been quoted or know you will be using Emele website services.
